Given the fact that the drug’s schedule was amended in 2018 to allow specialists to prescribe cannabis medicines for a variety of medical conditions, the CBMP’s are anticipated to remain accessible in 2021 with prescrition numbers expected to reach 30,000 in 2021.  Nevertheless, patients face other challenges, such as misperceptions, stigma, and financial constraints, all of which restrict the adoption of life-changing treatments.

Medcann Pharma seeks to assist and support CBMP access for patients, with the expertise of medical professionals, and researchers in order to assist patients experiencing difficulties in accessing medicines in addressing issues and, as a result, enhance medical cannabis’ adoption into mainstream healthcare.

Along with assisting patients in obtaining CBMPs, Medcann Pharma supports patients with guidance through available resources to assist patients along the patient journey. To that purpose, we engage with a variety of different organisations and government agencies to provide more comprehensive treatment and to promote care and excellence in the private healthcare sector.
